
Getting ready for tomorrow's big DAY ONE of my challenge! I am joining some other gals in cutting out Sugar for one month! Who was the smart one that decided to do this the very month Girl Scout cookies arrive? Thanks for that jazz! Now the challenge has gotten harder haha. I have spent the last 2 years working out and trying to lose weight. But I don't think I have really challenged myself as hard in my diet as I have in my workouts. I am at the point where I can't work out as hard as I want because my feet are in sooo much pain, and I believe my weight is to blame. After going to a podiatrist and chiropractor for over a year, gone through 3 sets of custom orthodics, done every foot exercise known to man.. I have finally come to the conclusion only I can fix this. I have to lose 70lbs to be the me I want to be. I want to be the Old me that could run and be free. these days I have to consider how long I will be out and how long I can stand walking before the pain is too much. Its embarrassing, I feel like I am 80 years-old! Its ridiculous and Sugar is to blame! I take in way way too much. For this thirty days I will give up all candies, sweets, sodas and white flour. I will still have fruit and whole-grain bread. I need healthy carbs still to fuel my intense work-outs. I hope after 30 days my sugar cravings will be gone and I will be on a strong road to being a healthier me! I hope to lose 30lbs in 2 1/2 months so I can start training for a half marathon. At this point The stress on my feet when light jogging is a bit too painful. Ok Sugar bring it on! I will defeat you! :)
